Tinctures as a Delivery Method for CBD

Tinctures are ingested orally, either dropped under the tongue or added to food or drink.

A tincture is a liquid taken in small doses with a measured dropper. FeelCBD Drops contain Full Spectrum CBD oil blended with fractionated coconut and grape seed oil for optimal bioavailability.

With tinctures, CBD enters the bloodstream through the gut and is processed by the liver. Compared to vaporizing, tinctures have a longer onset time, taking 30 to 60 minutes before effects are felt. Although the onset time is longer, the benefits of tinctures can be felt for 4 to 6 hours, basically double that of vaporizers. For this reason, tinctures are a very popular delivery system for sleep relief.

Although many people add their tincture dosage to drinks and food, holding the tinctures under the tongue for 30 seconds before swallowing is the most effective intake method. This can provide a quicker onset time and higher absorption rate because we have glands underneath our tongue which absorb CBD and process some of it directly into our bloodstream.
